Electronic slate or tablet computer (English: tablet computer), or summarily tablet, is a portable computer equipped entirely with the touch screen panel. Its main distinguishing feature is the use of the screen as an input device by using the stylus, digital pen, or a fingertip, instead of using the keyboard or mouse.
 

Microsoft introduced a version of Windows XP for tablet computers called tablet PCs in 2000, while the new Apple tablet computer version launched in 2010 with the name iPad. In 2011 Samsung launched its
Galaxy Tab tablet computer version 7 (which was followed by the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0

like other portable computer, the larger size makes it easy to bring usability, but portability is lower and the higher power requirements. For the current tablet computer, (not a tablet PC) common size is 10 "(used by the iPad) or 7" (used by many Android tablets). Many tablet PC makers have standardized on a wide screen format 12 ", with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. Fujitsu T5010 has a larger display, 13.3", but it still runs at a resolution of 1280x800 pixels.

Meanwhile, Dell and Samsung are making inroads smaller size of the tablet pc and larger than smartphones in general. Dell Streak has a 5-inch screen size and the Samsung Note has a 5.3-inch screen.
